November 19 – The World Toilet Day

As another website cautioned, please do not laugh. Â To some people “toilets” are something that they don’t want to mention a lot, and would pretty much love to “not talk about”. To much of the rest of the world, it is a challenge.

Across vast stretches of the planet, people, according to waterfortheages.org, 2.5 billion people defecate outside. There is even a term for this predicament: OD.

How does it matter you ask?

Poor sanitation leads to poor health, especially in women and children. Poor sanitation is also a sign that there is so much left in this world to do.
