Global Warming is a hoax. Global Frying is real…just look at everyone on Fox News
I have to admit, it is impossible to try and separate sustainability and ecologically cognizant behavior. With Fox News, you usually get a good laugh from Jon Stewart or Stephen Colbert. However, sometimes, you cannot just stand by at the kind of nonsense that gets thrown around on Fox News.
So, here is what I found out that one of Fox News’ experts, Laura Ingraham said, “a concerted global effort to reduce the standard of living for all Americans — bring us down so the rest of these countries can float up.”
Guess what she was talking about?
The concept of global warming and the scientific evidence, to back it up of course.
Climategate
If you have not heard of “climategate” by now, you have had a rather long vacation. On Sunday however, AP (which seems to have found some purpose beyond spelling and syntax errors) published a report that outlined the fact that after examining over 1,000 emails (a whopping 1,000,000 + words in all) of stolen email (yes, somehow we all missed that fact didn’t we?)
So, you would think that the Fox News folks would be tongue tied for a second (in defense of Laura Ingraham’s chronological and intellectual limitations, she said what she said on December 8, 2009). No such luck, they seem to go on and on. Just look at the article linked at the bottom.
It is true, I am sure that there are some countries that would like to see the U.S. in a bad shape viz-a-viz climate change and everything else, but to simply assume that the entire world has congregate to take on the superpower, while it’s own Government has voluntarily jumped in to take part in climate talks is beyond paranoia. It fails to meet the minimum standards for commonsense.
Skepticism, Sustainability and Extremism
Skepticism is key, in science and in everyday life. For one thing, I would wish that Al Gore with his scary stories is creeping me out. I would really hope that science proves him extremely aggressive. Skepticism will also help us move forward, as we decide to choose energy production methods and sustainable living techniques we currently call “alternatives”.
However, skepticism should not become extremism. Fox News, the environmental terrorists and Al Gore are all wrong. There is no need to scare people and try to chase them up the few and far placed trees.
Sustainable living has been the stuff of legends, if you look at how human beings have lived historically from the Native Americans, to Africans and all other races. We, the “modern society” are nothing but lost children (no bibles please).
As I have mentioned a previous post (read it here ), why can’t we decide to go back to the sustainable way of living, leaving a smaller footprint wherever we tread…
The question for Rupert Murdoch is, is the Fox News rhetoric the legacy he wants to leave behind?
