About “It’s Hot Here”

This is a website where I wish to list articles, opinions, information, tidbits on global warming, climate change, sustainability and related issues…

Here is my first blog on the site that explains things in detail:

This is not a p* site! – just in case your thoughts wandered when you saw the url…

“It’s hot here” is a culmination of my long-term desire to branch out into blogging on clean, green and the environment.

Who am I?

My name is Yamanoor Srihari. Like most of you, I grew up loving nature and animals. My parents’ unfulfilled desire to see me become a Doctor culminated in a hatred turned love for biology and life itself. In the first year of my undergraduate engineering education, our physics instructor told us that we should do a final year project that would “serve humanity” in one way or the other.

I clung on to his advice, and worked for three years on “non-polluting refrigerants”. Our team retrofitted a refrigerator that ran on butane than HFC. We also developed a nozzle that reduced air temperatures.В  Several years later, right about when clean and green became much patronized topics of interest, I thought it might be a good idea to blog about our planet and how we can save her.

So, you can see, there is some history here. I hope to cull together various websites, links, articles, opinions and other items of interes on this website. Please stop by and stop by often with your thoughts and suggestions!

To our frail world!

Sincerely,

Srihari
